Casey Serafino-Lee is a mover and a shaker, lover of all, no….most people, sucker for shiny objects and Realtor to the Heart of the East Bay, the Hayward area! She is proud to be born and raised here and still loves to discover new hiking trails in the amazing outdoors, trying new restaurants and enjoying local events.
More than anything she loves to help people make sense of the crazy real estate process! Guilty plug here...be sure to check out her YouTube videos....above in the menu!
Casey Serafino-Lee is a San Francisco Bay Area native and has lived here her entire life, except for some time during college. Currently, Casey and her husband, children and myriad of pets, sometimes it’s more than you can count on two hands; make their home in Hayward.
Why Hayward? The diversity. The ability to get to all sides of the bay fastest if you start in the “middle.” The affordability. The awesome parks and hiking galore!
Casey knows Alameda County like the back of her hand and prides herself on being able to get from Oakland to Fremont taking the back streets. When Casey is not selling Real Estate she and her husband love trying all the different restaurants but refuse to be called "foodies."
Casey grew up in San Leandro and later moved allllllllll the way to Hayward. She graduated from California State University, Hayward and makes it clear not to call it Cal State East Bay, with a B.S. in Business with a double emphasis in Accounting (which makes her a numbers and stats nerd!) and Human Resources (which makes her a people lover and rule follower!).
Casey is a loving mother (really, would she say she wasn’t?!?), active community member and motivated real estate professional. She has experience as Director of Children Services at her local church and also taught biology and government classes at a private school, which she loved! She also volunteered for many years in her son's Boy Scouts troop and her daughter's 4-H club.
Growing up, Casey was a real estate brat, spending many weekends in open houses watching her mom, also a REALTOR®, where her early real estate career began.
Knowing the local market like the back of our hand should be a given for any Realtor you consider working with. Working with an area specialist is a necessity. No one person can be a specialist in every area. It’s impossible. If they say they are, they’re lying…or they don’t sleep so they can study real estate markets instead. To that, Casey’s says
Which is why she specializes in Hayward and surrounding communities. A local market specialist’s knowledge can be the difference between you
If you want an agent that is out of Casey’s zone of knowledge, she can definitely hook you up with a local specialist in that area. She won’t try to pretend to be something she’s not.
One thing Casey loves to do is travel and make friends with agents in other areas. Guilty plug again…she’s starting to make videos about those other areas because so many people are leaving the Hayward area for their greener pastures. So check those out!
Recently, Casey got her super cute, super sweet couple who were buying their first home, into contract because she was a LOCAL agent. The house got eight offers, and their offer wasn’t the highest. Knowing how to write the offer was one positive. The next was that she knew how to write the contract the way the local agents want it; every county writes their contracts with different nuances. Finally the listing agent loved that Casey was a local agent that would be there for inspections, appraisals and one who knew the value of that home. Finally, the kicker was that Casey answered her phone! Not all agents do that.
Another time, Casey went on an appointment to meet with sellers. After talking with them for a while and discussing their motivation to move, she told them that their numbers didn’t add up. They didn’t NEED to move at the moment; they just wanted to know if they could. Casey worked with them to come up with a game plan to sell the home when the time is right for them and when the numbers are right. Casey expressed that she couldn’t lie about the numbers. She’s an analytical person and numbers don’t lie. If she did, she would feel guilty for the rest of her life.
But where Casey takes it farther is her focus on you having an amazing buying or selling experience so you can focus on living life! After all she wants you to LOVE where you LIVE.
